The take-over in 1995 of eight Mediveen pharmacies, which were owned by Ahold at the time, signified the start of the Mediveen group BV. Now, in 2003, we have expanded to become a chain of 160 pharmacies across the country, with our head office in Utrecht.

A chain of first class pharmacies that patients, prescribing physicians and health insurers can easily identify with. That is what we aspire to. Reaching agreements with other health care providers enables us to achieve a coherent and high quality range of health care products and services for the patient. We safeguard the balance between commercial interests and care. We make pharmaceutical patient care a top priority. We combine our strengths through cluster formation. Our aim is for our business operations to be as effective as possible and we plan to continue growing. We make no secret of this.

The plan is to increase our market share. After all, we are proud of the Mediveen Groep profile. Growth translates into more than scope alone. Growth is also about development.
